Sharif Applied Physics Research Center has been established in 2002. It follows three main goals:
1- Make a bridge between Physics and Industry.
2- Making job opportunities for graduates in the fields related to their specialization and interests.
3- Cut down the huge rate of linking young graduates who have Knowledge and Techniques to out of the country.
Regarding the undeniable importance of the above items in our present social and scientific situations, necessary draft works were done immediately in the Ministry of Higher Educations. In this way we will find the center as an independent organization with separate budget but under the supervision of the SUT.
On the first of July 2003, Dr. Ahmad Amjadi was elected as the first president of the center by Physics' faculties and acceptance letter from the president of the SUT.
