Network Science
Course Description
Network Science is one of the courses offered within the complex systems field at the faculty. This science is relatively new but has experienced significant growth in a short period and has found numerous practical applications.
Many of the phenomena we encounter take place within a network framework. Consider, for instance, the Internet network, networks of human communication – both in the real world and on social media platforms, or even the electrical power distribution network.
In this course, we delve into the fundamental characteristics of networks, their evolution, and various models developed for analyzing networks. We also explore their applications in the natural, social, and biological sciences, including topics such as the spread of diseases or computer viruses and the dynamics of political opinions.
