Research Plan

Scaling invariance has gained importance in modern Physics over the last decade. Scaling invariance shows itself in many phenomena such as Critical behavior of matter, fractals, grown surfaces, ..One of the tools for dealing with such systems is conformal invariance. Of course conformal invariance goes beyond scale invariance and incorporates special conformal transformations as well. Another tool for dealing with these systems is stochastic process, where these two meet is in the arena of Schramm-Loewner Evolution. We have recently been involved in applying SLE techniques to grown surfaces
