Students of 1391 class, Dr. Mahdiieh Aghajani and Dr. Elaheh Adibi have compiled their notes. As I revise each chapter, I will append them below. I use variuos parts of the texts by 1. Bruus and Flensberg, 2. Piers Coleman, 3. Fetter and Walecka. The details are as follows:
More is different | Second quantization (Lecture notes) | Models of electrons in solids | Green's functions | Equation of motion method | Matsubara formalism | Path integrals | Feynamn diagrams and perturbation theory | Electron gas and RPA | Dirac matter | Strong coupling perturbation theory
T have tried text some recent text books. The best of them is the book of Steven M. Girvin and Kun Yang. In the first semester we cover first 10 chapters. In the second semester I cover chapters 11-15 plus a selection from 15-20 depending on time.
Currently due to pandemy I am teaching this course online at my virtual class, Sunday/Tuesday 11:00-13:00 Tehran time.
In this course I use a combination of Kittel's classic and Simon's introductory book along with my Persian notes based on Ibach and Luth. I am reshaping the translation into a bilingual Deutsch-Persian text to assist learning German via physics texts.
